VP Bank (Switzerland) Ltd appoints Sascha Steinmann as Head Intermediaries
The roots of the internationally active banking group lie in the business with intermediaries. Today, external asset managers, family offices and trustees are among VP Bank’s most relevant client segments. As of 1 August 2023, Sascha Steinmann will assume the role of Head Intermediaries of VP Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. He succeeds Peter Vangehr, Head of Private Banking & Intermediaries. In his role, he will continue to professionalise the intermediary business and drive the development of the European target markets.
Sascha Steinmann has many years of experience in supporting intermediaries. He moves from LGT Bank (Switzerland) Ltd, where he has been a team leader in the supervision and acquisition of external asset managers since 2018, to VP Bank. From 1998 to 2018, he worked at Bank Julius Baer & Co. AG, recently as Sub Market Head Intermediaries for German-speaking Switzerland.
Peter Vangehr, Head of Private Banking & Intermediaries at VP Bank (Switzerland) Ltd, explains: "As an independent partner, we support intermediaries with our customised solutions and respond to individual needs. We are convinced that with Sascha Steinmann and his outstanding expertise, we will be able to successfully advance and further strengthen the intermediary business."
Sascha Steinmann adds: "Intermediaries need a competent banking partner who supports them with up-to-date and professional services. VP Bank sets its sights on this and offers comprehensive support, coupled with innovative services in all relevant financial matters. I am looking forward to shaping the intermediary business in a positive way and thereby contributing to VP Bank’s success."
